We had a couple of hours to bounce around N. Clark Street & hit happy hour while waiting for our spot at the tiniest sushi restaurant, so we hit Duke's. We fell in love with the open air windows in the front with fun benches & wild acrylic deer heads. Not to mention $5 You-Call-Its!
We headed over to Toro for our dinner & splurged on some amazing sushi! Totally worth the wait & it was BYOB so popped some white wine & pigged out on fresh sashimi & some really creative rolls.
We ended the night at Guthrie's Tavern... which might possibly be my favorite bar ever. Local spot with a wild ceiling, each tile designed by a local artist, great drink prices, outdoor courtyard and an intense selection of board games! We enjoyed kicking ass in Taboo & Apples-to-Apples. One Chicago highlight I would love to go back to! |
